An Elected AG -- To Be or Not To Be?

My colleagues in the House of Representatives and I recently passed House Legislative Initiative 15-8 (H.L.I. 15-8) to pose a question to the voters as to whether the CNMI should have an elected Attorney General (AG) similar to what Guam has. Had I started this blog before the issue came up, I would have posted this question on this blog, but such was not the case. In any event, I would be interested if anyone has an opinion about this one way or another.

Does this mean that there will be a question on this year's ballot?

Great bill, and it's long overdue!! Umm, I mean I like the idea.

Now, (slyly) how about electing the CUC board?
